The "flash" foam layer of insulation is done.  Although you pay for only 1", it expands to about 3". The 1" makes it affordable compared to all foam.   Now a guy is trimming and adding fiberglass batts on top.
Dad is always encouraging Mom to try new things.  This week he got her to insulate the shop/garage!!

Mom is still working on this pile of dirt in the front of the house.  She put us on it.  She digs down to a gopher hole then points to it!!  We can spread some dirt!
The baffles were installed in the gable roof, prior to the foam layer.  One of my friends put us on to "flash and batt" insulation which is what we're going to do!! It's a 2 in. layer of foam, then fiberglass batts on top.  It's less expensive than all foam and closest to the SIP's (structural insulated panels) which was the original idea.   The baffles allow air flow along the roof surface to equalize temperatures between outside and inside.

The stairs were moved about 6" back; now our tall friends can go upstairs without hitting their heads!

Also finished the south side porch roof with T&G.

Neighbor Eddie came and cut hay.  He'll be baling this week.  Dad mowed all the areas that the hayer couldn't get to.

Dad got one wood shed full!!

The east side of the house is ready for paint!  T&G pine on the porch ceiling is done!  One side done, 3 to go!!
Osker is one year old today!  Mom got him a new toy but I'm not letting him play with it yet.  It has a squeaker, and I get the squeaker first!!  He got skunked about a week ago.  His ears stink. He's not as big as me.
