Thanks to all my friends who have been wondering how I've been.  All is well.  Guess I've been busy trying to train this puppy, Woody.  I've taught him how to play the big red ball game with me and Osker.  He pulls on the rope, Osker gets the handle, and I get the ball.   He also understands my rules of fetch.  I always get the ball first.

Woody seems to be potty trained now, but still will not ask to go out.

Mom knit this blanket on 1" pvc pipes with 13 lbs of unspun wool fleece!  It was a project for a friend of hers.  She appreciated the opportunity to make it becasue she's too cheap to buy the supplies!
A fox got caught in the external entrance to the cellar.  It took Dad and Matt a couple hours to figure out how to get it out.  Once they opened up the platform over the cellarway he leapt out and sped off into the woods! Then they closed up the hole where he got in!
Weather has been mild this late winter.  Rainy days and sunny days!  One day when Dad and Matt were cutting up a huge doug fir that fell across the creek, Osker and Woody went off on an unsupervised adventure.  When they came back, it was evident that Osker had rolled in dead fish.  At this time of year when the salmon are heading up the creek there are often dead carcasses on the stream-side.  The salmon carry a bacteria that is deadly to dogs.  Me and Osker have already been through it and are immune.  Three days after their adventure, Woody became lethargic and had a fever.  He got on meds right away, but a week later he had a relapse which caused him to spend the night at the hospital.  After 3 weeks of high dose meds he is now better.
